Texas is a huge state with lots of sunshine. Pollution rules and the cost of old fashioned energy via electric bills continue to rise. Politicians make tons of promises when running for election and fulfill very little of them after being elected. You now have a chance to vote for real change in Farouk Shami.
The planet cannot exist for much longer when we are still using antiquated, unsustainable and unaffordable energy such as gas, coal and electricity produced the same as in the days of Thomas Edison. Projected increases in population worldwide and in America spell trouble for all of us unless we change our thinking and change our energy policies.
Solar energy, solar panels, clean energy has been around for a long time. Unfortunately the Oil, Coal and Gas cartels have suppressed it to our detriment. There was a genius around at the same time as Edison and his name was Nikola Tesla. He invented free energy! You could see it demonstrated in the movie “The Prestige” that came out a few years ago. However, big energy corporations couldn’t figure out how to make money off “free energy” and the patents were stolen and lost forever.
Texans are a very proud, intelligent people. It is time for Texans to take the lead and say yes to alternative energy. Other States have offered rebates, discounts and tax breaks for switching over to clean energy. The same can be done in Texas to encourage people to clean up the air, rivers and streams by eliminating the waste of energy plants currently in use. Some companies are now making solar shingles for roofing. Imagine covering your roof and getting free energy at the same time? Solar panels have come a long way too, many are much smaller and less expensive to use today. If your home makes more energy than your family uses you can sell it back to the energy company in your area as other Americans have done. Imagine not only not having an electric bill each month but getting a check in the mail for the extra energy your home produced!
Farouk Shami is the only candidate speaking to this issue and it’s an issue of National Security. You may say “National Security”? how is that possible? It’s easy. We have a limited supply of energy in our own country. We must currently deal with Nation States that are not friends of America for their oil. We will spend $1 Trillion on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq to secure an energy source for our future. We have to make deals with foreign countries like China to buy solar and wind equipment which further erodes American jobs. Getting in bed with the enemy has been our foreign policy for decades for our dependence on others for our energy needs. The same nations that would gladly attack us or delight in our failure. National Security indeed.
Clean and alternative energy would also create many American jobs when we need it most. It helps clean up our environment, lessen our dependence on foreign energy and gives us a real “jobs bill” when we need it most. Voting for Farouk Shami would put Texas on the map as a shining star for the rest of the country.
