As soon as we see someone with a big belly, we automatically assume that they are a beer drinker due to society’s perception. However how much truth is there in that statement?

Drinking regular beer at night has proven to have a huge effect on a man’s waist region. Research has shown that having fat around your abdominal region can be much more dangerous than that found in your lower body region. It is known to cause heart diseases and be the number one cause for diabetes. The amount of alcohol that you consume will determine the effect that it has on your body. Now if you were a cartoon character or someone that couldn’t care less, then having such a body type is no big deal. In actual fact, if you were such a person, you would be happy with what you have. However if you are someone that wants to do something about your weight, then it is about time that you start to take action by getting on the weight loss road. There are various ways to lose weight. What you have to realize is that our body is known to store fat in those regions more that have stout cells. These are found in high numbers in both the upper and lower midsection. So what does that mean? Where your fat ends up is based on a specific enzyme in your body.

Drinking excessively that result in your body being over weight is known to have numerous consequences. Drinking alcohol is known to prevent your body to be able to heal it self against infections and other related problems for a period of at least 24 hours. Drinking regularly has also known to play a huge role on an individual’s immune system. Alcohol is known to last in ones body system for more than 24 hours in some cases. This is known to cause slow responses of the body.

Research has concluded that there is some truth to the perception that beer drinking does cause “beer belly”. Drinking alcohol is known to disrupt your digestive system which in result causes your body to store more fat in your lower stomach region. This is known to increase your appetite for late night meals as well.
