Last week the California 2nd district court of appeals rejected arguments from Polanski’s lawyers that a judge should sentence him in absentia and to time served in his 1977 statutory rape case, which Polanski pled guilty to unlawful sex with a minor.
The facts are that Roman Polanski pled guilty, he was afforded his due process and accepted a guilty plea after he was afforded proper time, counseling from his attorney and presentation of the evidence against him.

I must prepare you, reading this testimony will shock and disgust you. But is you are going to chime in with an opinion or defense of this pedophile, have the facts of the evidence against him. In summary and the least offensive “G” rated version I could write is as follows:
Roman Polanski age 43 at the time had sex with a 13 year old girl; She testified under oath that she did not want to have sex with him and when “asked why she did not more forcefully resist Polanski” the teenager replied “Because I was afraid of him”.
The petition site is addressed specifically to Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf http://bit.ly/b9XlPR,, the current head of the Federal Department of Justice and Police of the Swiss justice minister. Widmer-Schlumpf is married and has three children. She is the daughter of former federal councilor Leon Schlumpf. She is the second federal councilor whose father had held the same office, after Eugène Ruffy, and the sixth woman to be elected to the Swiss Federal Council.
I don’t care how famous, talented or connected Mr. Polanski is nor do I care how long ago this act took place. What Mr. Polanski did is every parent’s worst nightmare, and I fear that is left unresolved we are neglecting our duty as a society in protecting our children from the sexual predators who are breathing free air.
