POMPANO BEACH, Fla.–Cyclone Power Technologies’ (Pink Sheets: CYPW) CEO, Harry Schoell, has been honored by Boating Magazine as one of five “game changing” innovators in the boating industry.

“I joked that if I were ever stuck in the space-time continuum and needed a Mr. Fusion Home Energy Reactor that used garbage to power my boat’s flux capacitor, Harry Schoell would probably be able to build me one. That was in 1985, and I’d still call him today.”

Mr. Schoell, who has designed boats and marine propulsion systems since the 1960s, was recognized by the leading industry publication as a visionary “who has been boating’s never-ending source of new ideas.” Many of these ideas and disciplines that he has honed over the years have found their way into Cyclone’s heat regenerative external combustion engine, such as water lubrication (in place of motor oil). This unique process allows the compact power plant to achieve higher operating temperatures, greater thermal efficiencies and, when running on pure renewable bio-fuels, complete independence from fossil fuels.

“A long time ago, after seeing Back to the Future,” writes David Seidman in the feature story, “I joked that if I were ever stuck in the space-time continuum and needed a Mr. Fusion Home Energy Reactor that used garbage to power my boat’s flux capacitor, Harry Schoell would probably be able to build me one. That was in 1985, and I’d still call him today.”

The article highlights several of Mr. Schoell’s many patented hull designs that are still being used today by companies like Larson Boats, as well as mentioning his latest invention, the Cyclone Engine, as a promising eco-friendly power source for boats.

“I’m honored to receive this recognition,” stated Mr. Schoell. “But as far as I’m concerned, my most far-reaching contributions to boating are still to come. A clean running, all-fuel Cyclone Engine is precisely what this industry needs and will soon get.”

CORPORATE PROFILE

Cyclone Power Technologies is the developer of the award-winning Cyclone Engine – an eco-friendly external combustion engine with the power and versatility to run everything from portable electric generators and garden equipment to cars, trucks and locomotives. Invented by company founder and CEO Harry Schoell, the patented Cyclone Engine is a modern day steam engine, ingeniously designed to achieve high thermal efficiencies through a compact heat-regenerative process, and to run on virtually any fuel – including bio-diesels, syngas or solar – while emitting fewer greenhouse gases and irritating pollutants into the air. Currently in its late stages of development, the Cyclone Engine was recognized by Popular Science Magazine as the Invention of the Year for 2008, and was presented with the Society of Automotive Engineers’ AEI Tech Award in 2006 and 2008. Additionally, Cyclone was recently named Environmental Business of the Year by the Broward County Environmental Protection Department. For more information, visit www.cyclonepower.com.
