Game Nation is excited to announce Atari’s interest in making their classic games part of Game Nation’s Theme Park and Resort. Atari Senior Vice President of Licensing / Digitial publishing, Lee Jacobson, stated, “We are excited about the possibility of partnering with Game Nation Parks for what will surely be an amazing new and exciting attraction for park and game lovers the world over. We wish the Game Nation team continued success and look forward to a long term partnership.”
Atari has some of the most recognizable classic games in the video game industry. The possibility of having great classic games like Centipede, Asteroids and Missile Command made into fully interactive rides and attractions would certainly be a global success.
“We’re really excited to take our favorite Atari games and make them larger than life!” – stated Daniel Ruke, Creator of Game Nation
Game Nation’s mission is to create a realistic experience that immerses you into a story. By combining video game mechanics with interactive physical themed attractions, they are creating the world’s first Experiential Video Game Theme Park and Resort. Visitors will become players as they step into a re-creation of worlds based on popular video games filled with myths, legends and arenas. Instead of just rides, you’re immersed in a world of total interactivity where, with everything you do, you earn a higher score, experience points and reputation. It is a place where your dreams and fantasies will come to life. You will be able to become anything you like and live out the character you create in the actual park. But it’s not a video game. It’s a physical large-scale theme park and resort.
In the spirit of crowd sourcing, Game Nation put a “poll” up on their Facebook Fan Page http://www.facebook.com/DemandGameNation asking fans what favorite Atari games they would want to see as a theme park ride or attraction. Allowing fans to drive some of the decision making for the park is becoming a common trend for the Game Nation team. Questions about a Game Nation Tour, what state the fans want the theme park built in and now, the Intellectual Properties they want the rides and attractions based on are just the beginning. Even more opportunities for you to be involved in the theme park’s development are on the horizon. Game Nation cares about what the fans have to say.
“Although Game Nation’s management team has a diverse and deep background in Video Games, Theme Parks and Entertainment, the fans’ input is what really matters.” – Daniel Ruke, Creator of Game Nation
