(Newswire.net — January 31, 2013) Saint Louis, MO — A gala evening offering Latin food, music, and arts is set for Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, to raise funds for Casa De Salud, the nonprofit clinic that cares for new immigrants with little or no health insurance.

¡Zocaloco! is a unique opportunity to shop for Hispanic artisanal crafts in a recreated Mexican town square, enjoy Latin music and dance, and dine on a gourmet menu of Latin fusion cuisine. The event will honor the 2013 Community Champion Award recipient who has advocated for health care for Hispanics and other new immigrants.

“This is our biennial signature event that is not only the most important fundraiser for Casa but also a showcase for some of most talented Hispanic artisans and entertainers this region offers. We are proud to give St. Louisans a taste of the cultural richness that the Hispanic community contributes to the region,” Casa De Salud Executive Director Jorge Riopedre said.
