How to Raise Glutathione

(Newswire.net — April 08, 2013) London, England — In a recent news release from the EU it was revealed that “innovation on Active and Healthy Ageing” is needed to prevent further economic misery.

The current health care systems are unsustainable, with current healthcare spending comprising at least 8.3% of GDP (2008 figures) and expected to rise by 2.7% over the coming years.

However apart from discussing the situation and coming up with a main objective of “fostering good health in an ageing Europe” little has happened so far.

Research however, is pointing towards a possible simple answer even for those who do not wish to improve their lifestyle.  As we age a number of substances in the body decline faster in sicker people but remain higher in those the naturally age well.  Perhaps the most important of these is glutathione.

Glutathione:

•             Boosts the immune system

•             Cleans the liver

•             Cleans the kidneys

•             Helps with energy

•             Prevents oxidation – a process linked with many chronic degenerative diseases

•             Higher levels improve surgical outcomes

Glutathione can be raised by moderate exercise, but this is a major problem in our sedentary society.  A good diet will help provide the building blocks for us to make glutathione, but the modern diet is deficient in too many important nutrients.

Glutathione supplementation has been researched for over 30 years at McGill University in Canada, and they have found proven, safe and effective ways to raise glutathione for the long term.

Most supplements only raise glutathione short term but what the researchers at McGill found was a particular whey protein isolate that worked continuously.  Despite this supplement’s efficiency and effectiveness it has so far received little public attention.

•             Not only does it raise glutathione, it has also been shown to improve muscle function and growth.

•             It is currently being investigated in Canada to prevent mental and physical decline of an ageing population.

•             In the USA it is being given to AID’s patients and is being researched with use for lung cancer patients

Other strategies to avert the Health crisis revolve around health and lifestyle coaching and education.  Ideally retraining medical doctors as health coaches, or bringing in a new expert field to our current health care systems to teach people how to be healthy.
