(Newswire.net — April 9th, 2013) West Haven, CT — Ken Carney owner of Baybrook Remodelers is officially allowing his company’s fire truck to be loaned out for your next party or gathering. The truck is a 1979 Hahn which was fully restored in 1991 with a price tag of $185,000. Then refurbished when purchased by Baybrook Remodelers in 2009.
About The Truck:
Amazingly everything on the truck is still in perfect working order just like the day it went into service. This fire truck was in service from 1979 to 2009 at the West Shore Fire Department in West Haven, CT and was ultimately replaced with a modern hose truck.
Baybrook’s hose truck has a 500 gallon tank and a pump that pushes 1500 gallons of water a minute. “I purchased the truck for use at home shows and local town events like touch-a-truck” says Ken. “I then thought to myself why not let local residents get use of it, it just sits in the garage most of the year and kids get so much enjoyment out of it” he added.
While the majority of the truck is just as it was when it was in service, there were some modifications made to the bed of the truck to allow more people in the back comfortably. Most notably, benches were added with cushions.

Now, this fire truck will be offered to local residence for birthdays and other engagements at no cost, but it does have a time limit of 45 minutes. Plus the area must be accessible with someplace for the truck to park without obstructing traffic. Ken added “What makes most sense is to have the party going and at the time you know everyone will be there we can schedule the truck to show up.”
