(Newswire.net — May 1, 2013) Montreal, Quebec — In today’s ever evolving world and environment it is critical for organizations to be able to capitalize on change and continually innovate and grow.  However is has been documented that 75-80% of change initiatives fail and one of the main reasons is lack of clear leadership throughout the change process and executive sponsorship.

The Pillars, a Montreal management consulting firm have developed a six week collaborative learning forum where leaders of organizations can meet to discuss concrete real world change projects such as mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, expansion, and tap into the experience and knowledge of the group members.

Caroline Samne, one of the partners of The Pillars and creator of the collaborative learning forums comments, “Change is the only constant in business and change is happening faster now than at any other time in history.  What makes any organizational transformation successful? People and leaders must be equipped with the skills to lead their people through this transformation.  This is why the collaborative learning forums were created.  Group members get the chance to tap into the resources and knowledge of many experienced leaders and an experienced change expert. They can test their ideas and thoughts in a safe and confidential manner before bringing them to life in their organization.  Each group member will come away with the following:

  • A solid knowledge base and understanding of change principles, frameworks and methods.
  • A better understanding of self as a leader of change.
  • A solid plan and strategy for moving their organization through change.
  • The ability to maximize their resources and keep costs down by doing change right the first time.

All discussions within the group are held in strict confidentiality so leaders feel safe to express their issues, ideas and questions.”

Collaborative learning groups have already started.  Groups meet for two hours every second week for a total of 6 sessions.  During the off week, group members are paired together to act as coaches to each other.  New groups are initiated when six to eight participants have registered.

Participants will become more knowledgeable of change methodologies, frameworks and processes that you can apply to your present day and future projects. They will actively apply the learning to real life contexts and work through their existing situations.
