FOR IMMEDIATE Release
(Newswire.net—May 16, 2013) Wesley Chapel—Painting a home requires some planning and forethought as many community locations have rules and governance requirements such as HOA or homeowner’s association bylaws that each member or homeowner within that community must follow. These associations require advanced filings of forms that indicate the extent of the work or painting that is to be done, time deadlines, and details such as color schemes that are going to be used.
Regulations such as these prevent the neighborhood community from becoming unsightly or unrepresentative of what the community views as “tasteful” and “consistent” with what themes might be important to their neighborhood at large. Without the pre-requisite form filing and approvals in place, a homeowner can suffer penalties, losses, and much consternation with their Board of Directors and committees that oversee such bylaws and rules.
As this process of approval is taking place, the homeowner can begin searching for colors and swatches that they want or would like to use and discuss this with their prospective painting contractor whereupon they can price these paints and look for various brands and manufacturers in advance. Once retained for this work and approvals are obtained, a painting contract is signed and agreed upon by the parties.
Choice of colors is a large part of the decision making process in house painting and is clearly personal and not really the role of the painting company. For many reasons, this personal choice does not want to depend on the contractor as any dissatisfaction with a color once applied cannot be the fault of the painter. For this reason, this decision is critical and important to be handled from the homeowner’s perspective.
Guidance is certainly welcome and encouraged as far as the quality and brands of paint used which a painting contractor should certainly know and be able to help, but colors should be left alone to the individual taste of the homeowner.
