(Newswire.net — June 25, 2013) Phoenix, AZ — People, these days, actually consider it a chore to have to go to the gym to tackle the same old boring workouts. It seems like the same trends are being followed by most people: lift some weights, drink some water, and then get on the cardio bike or treadmill for 30 to 45 minutes.

Even watching TV or listening to your favorite music does not seem to make the sheer boredom go away.  The good majority of people in the gym seem to be spending most of their time mingling with others instead of focusing on their end goal, which is to get in shape!

What are Kettlebells?  Developed in Russia in the 1700’s, these are cast-iron weights (resembling a cannonball with a handle) that combine cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility training. Yet unlike the traditional dumbbell, the center of mass of the Kettlebell extends beyond the hand.  This allows for more safety and core strengthening due to the “swinging” and release movements.   Kettlebell workouts create a much more effective way of combining weight-lifting with cardio-vascular exercises to cut down on wasteful time spent in the gym.

Geoff Neupert (Master RKC Instructor and Creator of Kettlebell Burn 2.0) has been quoted as saying “Most weightlifters, with the exception of the superheavyweights, are lean and muscular. When I was really training hard, I got down to 3% body fat. No cardio, no high reps, no pump and tone, no “feeling the burn.” I lifted very heavy, and very explosively. You lift heavy – relative to your own strengths, and you lift explosively. I specify the reps, you dictate the pace. That way, everybody, no matter what shape they’re in when they start, can see fantastic results.”

Kettlebell workouts are not only fantastic for men, they are also great for women.  Just because the principles are based upon heavy, explosive lifting, they are also based around your size and weight. Kettlebells also come in different poundage, so you can choose how hardcore you want to get.  All in all, they can help even the newest of beginners to shed body pounds quickly and effectively.  But most importantly, get your workout time down to the bare minimum!
