(Add Dateline here) It is nearly midnight on July 20, 2013. I’m exhausted and tired from two full days of jam-packed action while attending the Empower Network’s “Don’t be a Wussy” event at the Colorado Convention Center here in Denver, Co. http://www.empowernetwork.com/terminatormarketing/
I have personally been an internet marketer for nearly 2 years now, but I wanted to see if this really was before joining. I know from a lot of experience that purchasing or joining something online usually means a whole lot of empty promises, and more important a loss of hard earned money and time.
I live in Arizona, so the trip to Denver wasn’t too difficult and I figured I could get by fairly cheap if this truly is a scam. Before leaving Arizona to Denver, I wanted to do some research and join a “team” in the Empower Network so I could experience the full effect of what all this hype is about. I’ve had several emails from a Team member Anik from The Freedom Fighters Club. In the past I’ve bought several products from Anik and I felt I could trust him so I signed up for an Empower Network account under him.
I arrived in Denver plenty early in the day so I could “interview” several members of The Empower Network and get an idea of how it’s members are doing. As I was registering, I met a pleasantly nice lady named Vicky and her son Michael, whom she called Dan for some reason. Dan was so excited when he was talking to me about all he had accomplished. Dan told me he had attended the previous event in Chicago 3 months earlier. He also told me some of his “secrets” of getting traffic to his sign-up page by using Facebook. As I spoke with Dan, he told me flat out, “I have not made one single sale, but as soon as I do, I will most invest the money and purchase the next product. The next product I need, Dan said, is the $15k formula.” Dan had a huge smile on his face and continues, “When I get that product, I know it will give me all the tools, understanding, and products I will need to succeed faster!” Michael also confirmed that he currently had 50 leads in his network.
I turned to Vicky and asked her how she was doing with Empower Network. She smiled and said in a loving mother’s voice, “I am here for my son Dan. This is the first time I’ve ever seen him get excited about pretty much anything in his life. He now talks to everyone, he is outgoing, and he is excited every single day. Before he found empower Network, he would only sit around and play video games. Now, he never plays video games, and he has a purpose every day to work on his business.”
I noticed that he hasn’t had any success, but it appeared he was working hard. I needed to get more information from more people.
I wondered up the street to The Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant. As I was waiting for a seat, I noticed 5 other Empower Networks were coming to eat. I eagerly asked if I could join them for lunch. They all smiled and welcomed me to eat lunch with them.
I started asking questions individually to each of the 5 sitting with me. How long have you been a part of Empower Network? How much success have you had? Are you a member of a team? Have any of you attended The Chicago Event? To my surprise, 4 out of 5 have had numerous sales and have in fact earned more money than they originally invested into the business. The other one had just joined The Empower Team 3 weeks prior with no success as of yet. As for The Chicago Event, 4 of them attended, and Darlene told me, “I was totally transformed at The Chicago event. It changed my life forever, and this will happen to you here too. This is the best decision you ever made to come here!”
When one of the ladies asked me about my success, I stated that I just joined, but I was cautious and I have invested partially so I can “see” if I get my return on investment. She quickly said to me, “If you do not purchase all the products, then you will miss out on a commission payment when someone signs up under you.” I told her I was aware of this and I will take that chance.
When talking to these 5 individuals, I learned that they were all a part of a “Team” within Empower Network. They spoke very highly of their team, and all the free information, webinars, and help their team provides on a daily basis. I was really impressed with the overall “Team” attitude.
Now, they asked me about my “Team”. I told them that the team I was a part of, Freedom Fighters, was led by Anik. I also told them that Anik had actually provided me personally with all done-for-you traffic and set-up of my account. This was pretty amazing to them that my team sponsor would put in all this work for me. I also told them that Anik had set-up my AWeber account with auto-responders to all leads that come into my account. I know I was part of a pretty amazing team since i already had 50 leads within 3 or 4 days of working with my sponsor Anik and it took Michael 3 months to accomplish the same results.
Now, the event was starting. I headed into the Bellco Theater in The Denver convention Center. There was loud music, flashing lights, huge screens, and nearly 6,000 people from the Empower Network screaming and cheering. Dave Wood and Dave Sharpe came on stage and were funny, goofy and silly, but the crowd loved it, laughed with them and cheered loudly.
After speaking and inspiring the crowd several other speakers came onto the stage. These were mostly made up of other Empower Network members who have had great success in their businesses. While listening to each and every one of them speak, they all had the same theme. They all were encouraging, and motivating, and every one of them stressed being part of a team and having a mentor. Dave Sharpe stated, “You can fail miserably with a great Team, but you cannot succeed without a great Team. This is all 100% up to you. Only you can be motivated to work hard.”
As the night was getting late, Dave Sharpe and Dave Woods started inviting Empower individuals who have been earning the most money up onto the stage. Dave Sharpe asked for all individuals who have earned $1,000,000 or more to come up on stage. To my complete surprise, 4 people made their way up on stage! Then Dave asked for people earning $900k or more and $800k or more to come up on stage. I was in shock, there was a total of about 15 people on stage now. By the time Dave Sharpe got down to announcing $100k or more there were at least 150 people on stage. They kept announcing all the way down to $25 earnings. This encompassed nearly the entire Theatre.
Day 2
At the start of the second day at The Empower Network Event, the first focus was on their Income Disclaimer. Dave Woods and Dave Sharp were on stage with Empower Network’s attorney. They were very stern about the fact that anyone advertising for Empower Network must attach an income disclaimer. More than this, they told people to actually encourage everyone to read the income disclaimer. This Income Disclaimer actually stated the average earnings of all levels of Empower Network. I was quite impressed. These guys were 100% transparent. They didn’t even want people joining Empower Network if they were skeptical of their business actions.
After this, Dave Woods was back on stage. He is in his own way goofy, hysterical, charming, funny, and one of the biggest bare-footed hippies there is. Saying all that, I loved his attitude, his spirit, and his genuine concern for everybody surrounding him. This guys appeared to be having the time of his life and completely enjoyed the fact that people all around him were working hard and benefiting from their labors. This guy didn’t even wear shoes on stage. He was laughing and hysterical the entire time. I know many people would be turned off by a business owner who acts like he does, but to me it was a very inviting change from uptight corporate suite.
At the end of the second day of meetings, it was time to spend time with your team members for dinner. As part of The Freedom Fighters Club, I was invited to a very nice steak house, The Palm, in downtown Denver with a total of only 20 others.
I was super pumped about this dinner. I would be spending time with Anik, his Business partner Jimmy Kim, and Michael Force. I previously spoke on the phone with Michael force before coming to Denver, and I knew he was an amazing business man, but I still had not formed an opinion of Anik or Jimmy. I entered the dining room and sat smack dab in the middle seat. I wanted to be surrounded by great minds, and I was open for learning whatever I possibly could from these masterminds of Internet Marketing.
As dinner began, Anik, Jimmy and Michael all introduced themselves and stated their “Why’s” of why they believed in Empower Network and their Freedom Fighter Team. They asked everyone to introduce themselves and state what they were all about. I was absolutely blown away at how much Anik, Jimmy and Michael truly cared about the team, and their huge desire to help anyone out as needed. They told us all that they are working very hard on helping create a better sales team, more educational products, and one on one time. They want us to succeed and obtain all our goals, then train us to mentor our team members under us. These guys are all very powerful internet marketers, and they are taking precious time from their schedules to be here in Denver to spend time with us! I was simply amazed.
Michael Force told the group at the table that he decided to join Empower Network because he has known Dave Wood for nearly 10 years. Michael said, “Dave Wood is the exact same guy today as he was 10 years ago when he was living in a van homeless with nothing. This guy has made a ton of money, but this guy is humble, honest, and completely transparent. When I saw this, I knew Empower Network had something special.”
I still have one more day to attend here in Denver, Colorado, but my consensus of The Empower Network is that this is a legitimate business with a lot of passionate, caring, hard-working, honest individuals who truly care about others succeeding. I have seen the products they sell, and they are second to none. These products give you step by step instructions on how to be a great internet marketer.
Empower Network really boils down to whatever somebody puts into it. The harder the people worked on their own business, the greater their reward.
As a current business owner, I know hard work pays off. Clearly these people have worked hard to get to where they are. Congratulations Empower Network!
