(Newswire.net — July 23, 2013) Noted as a leading global distributor of gaming and entertainment machinery, AMG Leisure became a leader of a different sort when it helped to raise funding for Meningitis UK. The company chose to present Quentin Stott with a check for £1,000 on its annual golf day.
AMG Leisure’s Terry Farr, who was on hand at the presentation, was interviewed by Intergameonline.com, “It has been a tradition that during the AMG Golf Day we support Meningitis UK, a charity that is particularly close to our hearts,” said Farr, whose own son was also affected by the disease as a child. “I would like to thank all those who gave so generously during our golf and open days this year.”
Speaking briefly, Quentin also noted shortly after receiving the check, “Meningitis UK is a wonderful charity with a single focus to stamp out all forms of meningitis and other associated diseases.”
Per their official website, Meningitis UK is the oldest charity in the world dedicated to the eradication of multiple forms of Meningitis. More information about Meningitis UK and how charitable funds are distributed can be found by visiting their website: http://www.meningitis-trust.org/
