(Newswire.net — August 10, 2013) Dallas, TX — Information overload is everywhere and dentists are no exception when it comes to understanding current dental marketing trends. In an all-out online war to win new patients, many dentists are turning to online marketing professionals to gain insight and increase revenue. But how do you know what is working? And more importantly, how do you select the right agency or strategy?
We asked one of the top dental marketing agencies in Dallas, Texas to tell us what they see working. Lisa Parziale, owner of Portside Marketing in Flower Mound, Texas, shared this insight, “Reputation marketing, coupled with calculated social media campaigns, are the new dental marketing trends gaining strength. We are seeing great results with local marketing campaigns, which have changed dramatically this year in terms of how you achieve revenue growth.”
With insurance payouts declining and expenses increasing, dental practices need growth and additional revenue to survive. Parziale explained, the toughest part is sorting through all the hype and selecting a strategy and ultimately an agency that is right for the dental practice. “Dentists get called and emailed almost daily by salesmen trying to sell them on the next best thing. Many of those callers are seasoned salesmen targeting one specific product. Of course, that is what the salesman will say is the best strategy for the practice regardless since that is all they sell. In reality, a blended approach is almost always the more effective”
So we investigated a little and looked at several online marketing products, called a few agencies and the sales pitch was similar; we can get you gobs of traffic if you buy our product or service. But Parziale warns, traffic is not the key, revenue is. “Look for an agency that focuses on your bottom line, not clicks and views. If you are not targeting the right audience, all the clicks in the world will not result in revenue gains. Insist on talking about revenue as the measure, not clicks or traffic. If the agency can’t have that conversation, move on.”
When pressed to give us the inside scoop on what’s working, Parziale was not giving up any secrets but did give us a list of online strategies dentists should be thinking about :
- Local Maps – Google, Bing, Yahoo and more
- Listing Sites – Yelp, Insider Pages and the like
- Social Media – Facebook, Google Plus, LinkedIn and Twitter
- Optimization, optimization, optimization – the details matter
While we did not learn the secret recipe that is used to deliver the top rankings Portside is achieving for their clients, one thing was clear; an experienced, well-versed agency is your best option.
