(Newswire.net — 21 August, 2013) Chinatown, Singapore — CIMB Bank sponsored and hosted Singapore’s first creative run marathon on both 17 August 2013 and 18 August 2013, attracting approximately 16,000 participants. It was announced that an amount of $16,000 will be donated to a non-profit charity project – Happy Feet Project, providing support for the needy children. A private lender, 101 Credit, who is renowned for offering cash loans, was one of the active participants in the run. Employees were gathered to sign up for the event two months ago and 18 August 2013 marks the significant day where these employees of a licensed moneylender in Singapore see colours in their life.

The Colour Run is not a usual event which one usually sees in marathons, where participants finish the race and make their way home. It is Singapore’s first marathon that is out of the norm, where colour powder was thrown at the end of the race as a celebration for the runners. The main purpose of the colour throw is to promote a healthy and fun lifestyle.

Ms See, one of the employees from the loan company stated before the run, “I am really glad to be part of this run with my fellow friends and colleagues. I cannot wait for the main highlight of this run! The colours throw!”

“Ready! Set! Go!” and the race started. Participants were all running together with their friends in the race as they anticipated for the mass colour throw at the end of the race. The mass colour throw got the runners mixed with different colours and it was a spectacular moment for them. Mr Tay, a spokesperson for 101 Credit said, “This event is really unique compared to the other marathons that I have participated in. This is the first time that I am participating in a run with my colleagues and company. It not only helps us to bond but I am glad that I am part of this event, where I get to raise funds and help the needy.”

101 Credit is one of the recommended licensed personal loan companies in Singapore who aimed to be different and create a whole new benchmark for the other cash loans providers in the money loan industry. They emerged as an organisation that is selfless and makes an effort to contribute to the society instead of just offering cash loans.
