(Newswire.net – August 21,2013) Denver, Colorado –- The Rocky Mountain chapter of myTeamTriumph, a nonprofit organization providing athletic ride along programs for disabled children, teens, adults and veterans has announced they will help kick off the 2013 football season by participating in the Broncos Back to Football Run.

Uniting runners and NFL fans, the Broncos Back to Football Run welcomes participants of all abilities to help them kick off the 2013 Broncos season on Saturday September 7th. Runners can take part in the 5k, or 10k timed races, or they can enjoy the un timed Fans on the Field Stadium Run. All races start at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, and finish on the 50 yard line. Proceeds of the event go towards helping the National Sports Center for the Disabled provide therapeutic sports and recreation activities for athletes of all ages and abilities.

Based in Fort Collins, the Rocky Mountain Chapter of myTeam Triumph is a Front Range nonprofit organization that provides fun and exciting ride along programs for individuals with disabilities of all ages. Their programs invite all people that would otherwise be unable to participate in road races and triathlons to enjoy the thrills and the excitement that comes from finishing a race. MyTeamTriumph provides everything racers would need to participate, including boats, harnesses, trailers, and chairs. It is their mission to ensure that everyone, regardless of physical ability, gets to participate.

Teams supported by myTeamTriumph are led by “Captains,” who are assisted by volunteer racers called “Angels” whose mission is to get the captains across the finish line. MyTeamTriumph relies on donations from generous supporters in order to continue providing this incredible experience to disabled racers.

The Rocky Mountain Chapter of myTeamTriumph is dedicated to “enhancing the health and well being of individuals with disabilities by fostering lasting, authentic relationships through the teamwork environment of endurance athletics.” Susan Golicic, president of myTeamTriumph, says the race experience for these athletes is nothing short of amazing. “You’ll never see a bigger smile on a child’s face,” she says, “hearing the cheers of onlookers and feeling the incredible sense of achievement” is incredibly rewarding.
