(Newswire.net—August 30, 2013) St. Augustine, FL–“The last time Balin serenaded his fans at the gallery it was packed to the brim,” said gallery owner Donna Wendler, “Marty kept his promise to return and “do it again”.
The most exciting news is that 130 KING FINE ART GALLERY will be Balin’s Signature location where his complete collection will remain forever. To celebrate this special occasion, Balin will be performing at the gallery September 6th at 7:30 p.m. There will be a Meet and Greet between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. with a performance at 7:30.
Balin will play some of his old hits like Miracles, Hearts, Today, Coming back to Me, Volunteers and his new sensations, Wonderful, Go ride your horses, Give it to me, Rock Gods, and many more!
The performance is open to all with limited standing room, however he will remain at the gallery after the performance to autograph any purchased Art work. Balin also invites his fans to bring their “vinyl” and any memorabilia they would like autographed. Wendler says she will keep the gallery open “until the party is over!”
Balin just completed a whirlwind tour ranging from the Greenwich Village’s Bitter End to the Katherine Hepburn performance in Connnecticut and rapped up with a PBS special in San Francisco where Balin narrated a documentary event about Janis Joplin. “The Janis Joplin documentary voiced by Marty Balin is expected to air on PBS nationwide in the Spring of 2014. It is produced by KQED and will include behind-the-scene stories of Janis that are truly amazing”, as stated by KQED producer Jeanine Olsen.
The gallery expose of Balin’s art will also feature Janis Joplin along with other Rock and Roll icons of his contemporary past. St. Augustine is more than just the landmark birthplace for America. It is also the quaint city where people from throughout the U.S. come to capture historical snippets of life with Balin’s music and art being no different. How fitting it is that the roots here date back to a special time in the country’s genesis, while Balin plays his “historical” and “new trend” music while displaying his painting works that reflects his life.
Balin travels on tour to share his music and life with the world that has embraced him forever. His next major event in NYC will be at the Cutting Room at 44 E. 32nd St., where he will be performing on Friday, November 8th at 7:30pm.
