(Newswire.net — September 3, 2013) Bradenton, FL Water’s Edge of Bradenton, a premier senior retirement community in Bradenton, FL, is hosting a fundraiser this month that will combine a delightful English afternoon tea party with a canine fashion show to benefit the Humane Society of Manatee County.

The Tea & Tails fundraising event will entertain guests of all ages at 1 p.m., Sept. 19th at Water’s Edge of Bradenton, 2015 32nd Avenue W., Bradenton, FL 34205. Tickets are $15 per person and must be purchase in advance at Water’s Edge. All profits will go directly to the Humane Society.

While the adorably dressed canines take to the stage, guests will enjoy finger sandwiches, fruit, scones, cheesecake and assorted hot teas. There will also be an assortment of raffles and guests are encouraged to bring their own tea cups and cash for raffle tickets.

Organizers of the event say Tea & Tails will put the “fun” in fundraising, and is a prime example of the retirement community’s dedication to provide new and exciting activities and events for its residents and the public. Retirement Living, the Water’s Edge of Bradenton team said, should be about experiencing new things and having fun while doing it. The staff at Water’s Edge strives to provide ample opportunities for residents to stay active physically, mentally, socially and spiritually. In addition to special events like the Tea & Tails event, Water’s Edge of Bradenton offers structured exercise classes, motivational programs, Water Aerobics, Restorative Yoga, writing and sewing clubs, and Grow Your Brain, a memory enhancement course.

Water’s Edge of Bradenton is consistently recognized for its dedicated, caring, thoughtful and experienced staff, its welcoming residents, the beautiful grounds and common space, the spacious rental apartments available and chef prepared meals. Earlier this year, the facility was named the top retirement community and assisted living facility in all of Manatee County in the Bradenton Herald’s People Choice Awards.

“What makes Water’s Edge of Bradenton so extraordinary is a special group of caring professionals all working together toward the same goal… taking care of our residents,” said Jim Gillespie, the executive director of the senior retirement community and assisted living facility. “We provide an atmosphere for our residents to be the very best they can be.”
