(Newswire.net — September 4, 2013) Milwaukee, WISchools In Milwaukee, a brand new education and consumer career training resource, is now available online.

The free SchoolsInMilwaukee.com web site can help prospective students look for and select a college or other school in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area.

“We’re pretty excited about this new site,” stated website publisher Kimberly Kohler, “We wanted to put together a small, simple site that helps anyone interested in attending a school in Milwaukee quickly find some of the information they are looking for.”

One key capability of the SchoolsInMilwaukee.com site is that it allows visitors to quickly look for schools they may be interested in. Viewers can research universities either by geographic location or by the category of degree taught.

Kohler thought that the Milwaukee area sometimes gets overlooked by prospective students. “Many of the students in Milwaukee colleges are from Wisconsin,” said Kohler, “But I think that many students tend to gravitate towards Chicago schools or The University of Wisconsin-Madison campus instead of investigating the options here in Milwaukee.”

Kohler additionally mentioned that the state public colleges are often a bargain when compared with private universities or out of state colleges. “The UW system offers a great education deal,” she said, “I think most local residents should at least consider one or more of the UW schools before they enroll at a more expensive university.”

“Every student’s situation is different,” Kohler concluded, “Students have different goals, family situations, work situations, and financial resources, but every student should put in the same amount of planning and effort to make sure that whichever school they enroll at is the perfect one for their situation. It’s too important a decision to screw up just because you didn’t make the effort.”
