Newswire.net Vancouver, BC – September 10, 2013 — Mission Possible will be holding “The Second Annual SmartPhone Raiser” on September 20th, 2013 at the Lamplighter Public House in Gastown. Axis Impact Marketing is the presenting Sponsor for the event.

The fun and networking begins at 4 PM and ends around 7 PM.  This event will feature lots of great door prizes including a wine package and golf prizes as well as the opportunity to meet Brian Postlewait, one of Business In Vancouver’s top CEO’s under 40 and Jim Janz, one of Vancouver’s top entrepreneurs.  Jim is releasing his new book “Rendezvous with Destiny” and will be on hand to chat and sign books.

What is a SmartPhone Raiser? People simply bring their Smartphones and call or text a few friends and family to see if they will donate to Mission Possible in a fun, slightly competitive atmosphere. Last year a little over $2500 was raised and organizers hope to double that this year.

Presenting Sponsor Deborah Kriger from Axis Impact marketing says, “I really love the work that Mission Possible does and I am very happy to help out by sponsoring this event. I love the approach that Mission Possible takes to empower people to serve each other and earn a paycheque. They really do give people an opportunity to improve their lives in so many creative ways, if they are willing to take it.”

This event is open to anyone who would like to help provide street level care to people challenged by homelessness and poverty in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside.

If you would like to attend, you are asked to call or email Rod Janz at Mission Possible 604-253-4469 Ext. 115, rod@mission-possible.ca.
