(Newswire.net — September 26, 2013) PRESTON, LANCASHIRE, UK — Tara Costa, a contestant to the seventh season of American television network NBC’s reality TV hit The Biggest Loser, is fighting allegations that she violated a contract she signed with FC Online Marketing, Inc. (FCOM) that allows them to use her image in their campaigns provided that she maintains her weight. FCOM filed a lawsuit against her recently, claiming that Costa had gained 45 pounds and, thus, breaking the said agreement.

Costa’s legal team, in turn, have expressed intention to file a countersuit stating that FCOM has committed breach of appearance for using Costa’s image on its website, ILoveKickboxing.com, without due compensation.

“We believe FCOM’s allegations are entirely unjustified,” says Clare Johnson, spokesperson of new weight loss website BodyTransformationWomen.com, weighing in on the Tara Costa case. “Tara looks more amazing than ever and remains a true inspiration for women trying to transform their bodies through healthy weight loss.”

According to a report on NBC News, the time period FCOM contends Costa gained 45 pounds was in 2011. However, Costa claims that 2011 was the year she felt most fit. She had participated in the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii that year, and that competition required her to swim, bike and run a full marathon.

“Tara wouldn’t be able to compete in Ironman that year if FCOM’s claims were true,” says Johnson. “If she did gain weight, it would be because she gained muscle. Gaining weight from muscle is definitely a lot different from gaining weight from fat.”

Johnson states everyone can take inspiration from Costa’s weight loss journey, and that the purpose of her new website, BodyTransformationWomen.com, is to help women who are struggling with their weight find the strength and the courage they need to find lasting solutions to their weight challenges. The website is a resource where people can find helpful resources on body transformation for women through proper nutrition and supplements, regular exercise, and positive affirmation.

“We really believe that Tara will emerge justified in this case against FCOM,” says Johnson. “It takes a lot of hard work to lose the 155 pounds that Tara did on her Biggest Loser stint. It surely doesn’t sound right that FCOM would take her down like that.”
