Rahn-Kote, a new HVAC evaporator coil coating with Fluoro Teflon and Titanium Dioxide, is poised to transform the condenser coil industry. Rahn Industries, a long-trusted name in the HVAC coil and coating market, is proud to introduce this exclusive, patent-pending proprietary formulation. Rahn-Kote’s potential is extraordinary, as it nearly eliminates the potential for failure of evaporator coils due to galvanic corrosion, and is projected to extend their expected lifespan dramatically.
Rahn Industries has been a leading name in HVAC coil manufacture and modification for over three decades, providing their customers with expert equipment modifications and the highest quality and most innovative coil coatings, evaporator coils, steam coils, hot water coils, and chilled water coils. Their loyal customer base can be traced back to Rahn Industries’ unwavering dedication to providing conscientious service as well as efficient and effective products. An important aspect of that dedication is the desire to continuously offer innovative solutions.
Rahn Industries is introducing Rahn-Kote following 10,000 hours of punishing testing under the most severe conditions, testing which far exceeded industry standards. The formulation’s exceptional performance is due to a number of notable features, as yet unmatched by any other condenser coil coating in the industry. “The next generation of coil coating protection has arrived,” states John Hancock, president of Rahn Industries. “No one else in the industry is offering this level of protection for HVAC systems. We’re excited about the possibilities this product brings to the market.”
Rahn Kote contains titanium dioxide, which provides armor against the damaging effects of all spectrums of UV light. In fact, Rahn-Kote is the only stand-alone coating in the industry which offers UVC protection. Rahn-Kote creates an environment hostile to bacteria, fungi, and algae, due in part to the contributions of silver ion and a quartemery ammonia biocide. This can be vital in the dark, damp locations in which HVAC evaporator coils are frequently housed. Finally, Rahn-Kote is the only formulation available with Fluoro Teflon. Fluoro Teflon gives Rahn-Kote supremely hydrophobic properties. It is nearly impossible for moisture to collect on a Rahn-Kote treated coil, making the potential for failure due to corrosion negligible, and preventing the build-up of water, dirt, and debris. Applying Fluoro Teflon results in a evaporator coils which are, for all practical purposes, self-cleaning. HVAC evaporator coils coated with Rahn-Kote will require only water and a mild detergent, making tedious, labor intensive coil cleaning a thing of the past.
“Our Rahn-Kote coating has been shown to extend the life of coils dramatically while improving indoor air quality,” Hancock says. “This helps keep the air in the business safe, while also saving customers money on HVAC repairs over the life of the coil.”
Rahn-Kote can be introduced to both new systems and those which are already in use. It can also be applied to coils exhibiting deterioration, bonding separated fins and tubes, improving the transfer of heat, and sealing out corrosive elements. Rahn-Kote may even be used over most other coatings without issue. Rahn-Kote is currently available to customers, exclusively through Rahn Industries.
