Another very common procedure are veneers. “Porcelain veneers are also very effective,” says Dr. Oltean. “Veneers are very thin pieces of durable, tooth shaped porcelain that are custom made for the patient at a professional dental laboratory. They are then bonded onto the front of teeth to create a beautiful and attractive smile.” Veneers are generally used to disguise crooked teeth, a chipped tooth or severely misshapen teeth. “Veneers can also be used to cover up stained teeth that don’t respond to traditional whitening treatments.”
