(Newswire.net — January 14, 2014) Darien, CT — Every one dreams of a big scholarship for their child athlete. It is natural we are proud of our kids. it is not uncommon for these young athletes to have personal trainers, massage therpists and an orthopedic on speed dial. We all want the best for our children, relax it is natural.

You may not be aware of the benefits of chiropractic care for these growing athletes. I will share with you a few of them. Your first reaction may be that they don’t need chiropractic care. You may be right but how would you know? Can you look into your childs mouth and tell if they have a cavity. Not likely.

All children fall at some time in their developing years. What happens if a fall puts something out of place but there are no symptoms? It may be nothing but can you be sure? Our cars canget banged up and repaired looking showroom new. Then a few miles later the car make weird nosies that did not exist prior to the accident. But the car looks fine. The same can be said for the body we get banged up and go on our merry way thinking everything is good. Is it really?

The role of the chiropractor is much like a mechanic for the body, the whole body. Legs go out of place, ankles get put out of whack and a shoulder can get dinged. You need a professional mechanic to make sure your mechanics are in order. Now of course we are talking about bio-mechanics here. The bones make up the skeltal system and when one goes out of place it affects other systems. Mainly the muscles but the tendons and ligaments get stressed out when the bones they are attached to are out of place.

Some M.D.’s do not recognize the role of structure and function. They are failing their patients by not knowing when to refer to a chiropractor. Patients are guided to medications that only cover up pain and inflamation. The medications that stop pain do not address the underlying weakness.

The role of a chiropractor is understated. But when it comes to your budding athlete are you neglecting the childs structure because they look fine. What happens with re-occuring injuries that don’t seem to heal or get better only for short periods of time. We chirpractors can be the glue that keeps your athlete in top shape to perform their best.

If you care about your childs performance you would be serving them better as a parent to keep a chiropractor in the mix. The chiropractor is not to replace the trainer, massage therapist or physician. The role is to support our childrens well being on all fronts. A well rounded program for all kids not just athletes should include chiropractic care to keep their bodies growing strong. I am certain that there are ill advised doctors who may not agree with me. That is fine but I am telling you that if your child is to perform at competitive levels they will benefit form chiropractic care. You are now ellightened. If you have any questions please post them to my facebook link below. I promise to get abck to you.
