This celebration of a fruit-based diet gained major media attention in 2013 with interviews on CNN and with other major media outlets. Founded in 2011 in Woodstock, NY, the Fruit Festival provided attendees with a never-ending fruit and veggie buffet, gourmet plant-based meals and a focus on education and fitness from pioneers in raw food from around the world.
As more athletic championships and records are smashed by raw athletes eating a fruit-based diet (such as Dr. Douglas Graham’s 80/10/10 Diet), the sports world and the world in general is taking note. Championship Trail Runner Tim Van Orden, weight lifter Mike Vlasaty and World Freerun Champion Timothy Shieff are among the pioneers that will speak and run fitness classes at the festival.

Located right on Trout Lake in NY State, the festival takes advantage of Camp Walden summer camp to provide excellent facilities for sports, exercise, eating and enjoying the unique atmosphere. Attendees can stay right on the premises in cabins or tents, but there are also nearby bed and breakfast and hotel facilities available.
