Always wanted to be your own boss? Frustrated by corporate rat race, recently retired and still in need of additional revenue, recently graduated from college and having trouble finding work, discharged from the military and looking for a new career?  Franchising 101 might supply the answer.

Sponsored by New England Franchise Association (NEFA), Franchising 101 is set for March 6 from 10-4 pm at the Hilton Woburn, 2 Forbes Road, Woburn, Massachusetts, 01801. Pre-registration is required.

This is a must attend event for anyone looking to learn more about franchising – especially for those looking to purchase a franchise.  This seminar is new to New England and the panelists combine over 50 years of franchising experience into one session.

The seminar will provide an understanding of what purchasing a franchise is really about.  Tips and best practices will be outlined by experts including franchise attorneys and consultants.

The day-long event will include a series of workshops including: What is franchising – an overview by Eric Stites of FranchiseBusinessREVIEW; Roles and Responsibilities led by Evan Hackel of Ingage Consulting; Financing facilitated by Kathleen Kelly of First Trade Union Bank; Key Things to Consider When Choosing a Franchise and How to Choose the Right One for You presented by Michael Harrington of the Entrepreneur Source; and Next Steps led by Timothy Bryant, Esq., Preti Flaherty and Suzanne Cummings, Esq. of Cummings Franchise Law.

Cost is $49 for NEFA members and $99 for non-members.  Pre-registration is required.
