In a state that is loaded with gymnastics talent, total domination is a very difficult task. Few could argue “domination” after the USA Gymnastics Level 10 State of Michigan Championships held in Battle Creek, MI on March 21st. Twistars USA Gymnastics Club posted the 2nd highest team score in Michigan gymnastics history (116.375) in route to their championship title. Second place, Oakland Gymnastics (113.5) and third place Olympia Gymnastics (113.275). TEAM RESULTS
Boasting one of the strongest graduating senior classes ever, many questioned what the future might hold for the Twistars Gymnastics upper level competitive program. Well that question was answered with a bold statement from the younger members of the squad. In the youngest age group (Junior A), Twistars captured the top 5 All Around places. This certainly sends the message that the future holds well for the state’s most storied and accomplished gymnastics program. JUNIOR A RESULTS
In the Junior B age group, Twistars once again showed depth and strength capturing the top 2 All Around spots. Freshman Carly Preston and Anna Dayton showed that they are more than capable of carrying the team leadership in the upcoming years. JUNION B RESULTS
In the Senior A age group, Senior Bailey Gardner placed 3rd AA after suffering an uncharacteristic fall on the Floor Exercise event. Bailey has been recovering from an ankle injury and her endurance just wasn’t there on Floor but she shined on the other events. SENIOR A RESULTS
Grace Williams won the Senior B age group in impressive fashion setting a new all time state meet scoring record for Michigan. She posted a 38.875 breaking the previous record held by her Twistars teammate and future Nebraska Cornhusker teammate Kamerin Moore (Both will be attending UN this coming fall on full ride athletic scholarships). “Grace is simply one of the most impressive competitors this sport has ever seen at the Junior Olympic Level.” She is a fierce competitor when it comes time to shine.” SENIOR B RESULTS

Twistars Gymnastics Club is the largest and most successful gymnastics club in the mid-Michigan area. Two locations in Dimondale and DeWitt offer all levels of gymnastics for boys and girls ages 18 months to 18 years. Twistars is home to World and Olympic Champion, Jordyn Wieber and the 2011 U.S. World Team Head Coach and 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Head Coach, John Geddert; and Olympic Team Coach Kathryn Geddert.
Programs: The gymnastics programs include recreational gymnastics (weekly classes), competitive team (boys and girls), cheer tumbling classes, competitive gymnastic camp, recreational summer camp, gymnastics birthday parties, gymnastics field trips and Open Gym (public welcome).
