Business holiday cards, such as business Christmas cards, and Thanksgiving cards have been around a long time. It used to be that every company sent out holiday cards at the end of the year. Many would send cards as a thank you for doing business with them. Over the past 10 years there has been a slow and steady decline in the number of business holiday cards sent. With the invent of the internet and email, e-cards and video cards, many have opted to not send paper holiday cards. Some companies cite the economy as their reason, others, that they don’t feel it necessary any more. I spoke with David Wilson, owner of Executive Greeting Cards, in California, and he said “We have definately seen a decline in the number of cards sent over the past ten years.” He went on to say however that ” There has been a sort of revival in the past 5-6 months, people are wanting to differentiate themselves from their competition, and it almost seems like people are recognizing that sending a greeting card is good etiquette.”
Executive Greeting Cards, a leader in the business holiday cards industry for over 30 years is spearheading this greeting card revival, developing a new website, and online card creator tools. You can see their FB page here.
