Residents of San Diego will soon have a new option for their massage and physical therapy needs. Scott Tucker, a licensed massage therapist and physical therapist, recently announced his plans for bringing a new wellness center to the city.
“There are many established physical therapists in San Diego already,” says Scott Tucker, “But this is a job that I truly love, so I don’t mind if there is some competition. In fact, I believe that there is still a huge unmet demand, so I’m sure that this new venture will be a success.
According to Scott Tucker, there are numerous benefits to massage that nearly anyone can benefit from. Tucker says that you don’t need to be an athlete or recovering from an injury to benefit immensely from regular massages.
“Massages improve circulation, increase mobility and flexibility, and also relieves anxiety and digestive disorders. There are tons of benefits to massage and patients usually feel the effects as a sense of increased general well-being for several days after a massage session,” says Scott Tucker.
Tucker will not only have a staff offering massages, but he will be conducting physical therapy sessions to help people recovering from surgeries and injuries.
“Physical therapy and massage go hand in hand,” says Scott Tucker. “I will be spending most of my time doing therapy and I’ll have staff members who will specialize in massage. I want to offer everything I can to help people lead better lives.”
A definite location for the new physical therapy and massage center has not been determined yet, but Scott Tucker says he has narrowed the new location down to a choice between three possibilities.
Scott Tucker commented on the grand opening of the new center: “We expect to sign a lease very soon and we will issue another announcement when everything is in full swing.”
