A recent article published by Never Be Bored announces summer botany class from Scott Tucker.
According to NeverBeBored.net, the recent article is part of the website’s mission to bring awareness to positive opportunities in communities around the nation. The article features botany classes from Scott Tucker, as well as several other classes running throughout the summer at the Open Field Nature Center.
“We are constantly looking for new ways to extend our reach into the public education,” says Open Field director Michelle Linen. “And NeverBeBored.net is perfect for that. The more hands we put out there, the more people can potentially grab hold.”
NeverBeBored.net senior editor Sherri Nagel says, “This is something that our readers will be very interested in. Summer is a peek season for us as well and the more outdoor activities we can offer up the better. It is also a nice bonus that the new classes taught by Scott Tucker have been just recently added.”
Linen goes on, “It was great timing when Sherri contacted us about doing the feature article as Scott had just returned from a three month research trip in Argentina. We weren’t sure if he make it back in time or, even if he was, be up for heading classes in the summer but it all clicked into place in the end.”
“When I read the article I was a little surprised as I am not used to seeing my name in print,” commented Scott Tucker. “I mean apart from journals and articles where I am one of at least ten other names, it just seemed a little odd to me… like where is everyone else,” he said. “I’m just glad the Center is getting some more publicity and also hopefully my classes will fill up as well,” he said.
Both Nagel and Linen say that this is just the start of a collaborative relationship as both their goals seem to coalesce so easily. They both say it’s only a matter of time before their paths cross again.
Scott Tucker is a long time lover of plants and has been studying around the world since his late teens. Classes at the Open Field Nature Center being June 1st and continue through the end of August.
