Electronics manufacturing and design firm AMG Services recently announced the development of new headphones that are expected to be available for purchase in time for the holiday season. While AMG Services is based in Dallas, Texas, the headphones will be manufactured in Taiwan and shipped from distribution centers throughout the United States.
The new headphones from AMG Services are noise canceling in-ear units with gold-plated connectors and a proprietary bass boost system for maximum bass response when listening to bass heavy music.
Martin Keitel, an engineer at AMG Services commented on the company’s latest product.
“We’re excited about the new headphones,” says Martin Keitel. “We’ve seen what happened with the Beats line of headphones and that shows us that there is room for competition in a market that has long been dominated by companies like Sennheiser.”
AMG Services considered making full-size headphones, in addition to the in-ear model currently in development, but plans for a circumaural product have currently been halted. According to AMG Services, a full-size model may be developed next year if the in-ear headphones sell well.
“The original plan was to release both models simultaneously, but in the end the budget didn’t support it, so we decided to focus on the in-ear model first, because we believe that in-ear headphones are more popular today,” says Martin Keitel of AMG Services.
A final name for the new line of headphones from AMG Services has not yet been selected, but representatives from the company say that they will publish as much information about the new headphones as they can, as soon as information becomes available.
Design work on the headphones is nearly complete, and as long as there are no major hitches in the manufacturing process, the headphones will be available for sale on shelves and on-line by mid-Fall. Special coupons will be made available on a limited basis by AMG Services.
