(Newswire.net — May 30, 2014) Panama City, Panama — Owners of condos at the exclusive Wyndham Grande Playa Blanca in Rio Hato are increasingly frustrated with the operations by RG Hotels & Inmobiliaria (RG Panama) based in Panama City, Panama.
Many investors were in at the very beginning in 2007 when initial funding for the project was procured.
The project at Playa Blanca was proposed to be built and operated as a five star hotel, originally under the Nikki Beach name.
Hopes were high when the hotel actually began operations in 2010 and the owners actually began to receive some of the first operational statements.
However statements were rarely followed up with an actual pay out.
And when pay outs did occur, they were only for a small percentage of what was actually owed.
Looking over the statements also revealed a troubling observation – that the promised payouts of 50% of revenue, were often reduced to as little as 10%, after RG Hotels removed amounts for questionable services.
Condo owner Chris Miller is beside himself in frustration stating “I’ve gone just about as far as I can with my lawyer, short of suing, which I hear is not too successful anyway, so I’m open to any and all other options.”
Miller continues “I’m angry at the way we’re being treated by RG, and I’m tired of feeling hopeless!”
Numerous attempts have been made to contact RG Hotels through their webpage contact system, email and telephone calls in an attempt to resolve these issues.
In addition, several attempts have been made in contacting Wyndham to report a possible fraud occurring at one of their franchise locations.
A Wyndham customer service agent did respond and indicated that the issue would be escalated up the ladder but no further information has been given by Wyndham.
