Alberta Premier Hancock Keynotes 2014 SPE Heavy Oil-Canada Conference

(Newswire.net — June 11, 2014) Calgary, Alberta — SPE Heavy Oil-Canada Conference 2014, June 10-12 commenced with the opening Plenary and Keynote address by Alberta Premier Dave Hancock President of Executive Council, and Minister of Innovation and Advanced Education.

Premier Hancock’s topic addressed the province’s Building Alberta plan, specifically the Government of Alberta’s focus on access to international markets. It is well known that global exports are key to Alberta’s success. He stressed the importance of opening new markets for Alberta’s resources to create increased economic opportunities, investment, jobs, and revenues to support the programs and services on which all Albertans rely.

The conference offers technical and training programs, special events, workshops and networking all aimed at ‎technological innovation driving and shaping the future of heavy ‎oil in Canada.
