“I’ve always loved films and I believe that film and music are intrinsically linked,” says Scarlette. “When I write a song, I see the lyrics as a script telling the story. As I evolve and grow as an artist, I want to explore bringing the films I see in my head to life so I can share them with my fans.”
In return for any pledges she receives she’ll be sharing as much of the project as possible. Pledging any amount will make fans an official part of the Scarlette Fever team, where they’ll have access and input into the whole creative process…
There’s lots of great things up for grabs too including; the forthcoming brand new dance EP, The Fever Rides Again, featuring remixes by the huge American DJs Jason Nevins and Georgie Porgie. Then there’s the chance to be an extra in the actual video and spend the day involved in the shooting process. You can also pledge to hang out in the studio with Scarlette, and be there whilst she works on her new album. She’s even open to collaboration sessions too…
Your pledge will also include a free download of the instrumental version of her song Give Me A Smile and will give access to an online backstage area where Scarlette will give personal updates on the video process, exclusive demos, film treatments and a ‘rockumentary.’ Plus insights to the songs, the development process and the craft of production – everything basically!
And finally Scarlette will be donating 5% of all the money raised to one of her favourite sea life conservation charities, the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
Scarlette Fever first came to the fore in 2011 building a solid fan base following live support tours with Lisa Stansfield, Caro Emerald, Mike + The Mechanics and Roachford. Throughout 2012 and 13 the band performed regularly in Los Angeles and the West Coast area of the USA, whilst enjoying continued UK media support in the form of consecutive BBC Radio 2 playlists for singles Crash & Burn and Elated.
Then came the autumn 2013 EP release Single White Female EP, which was produced with the acclaimed collaborators Steve Lironi (Altered Images, Space) on the UK live tracks, Tommy Faragher (Dusty Springfield) curated the studio session in the USA and with mixes from Pete Craigie (Bellowhead, Rubylux) and Ash Howes (Texas, Ellie Goulding). The EP included the emotive ballad Sunday Best, as seen on the stunning Balcony TV session, written with guitarist Chris Moorhead (Seth Lakeman) alongside keyboard player, Angie Pollock (Goldfrapp, Peter Gabriel).
