Fundraising service provider, AMG Services invites the San Jose area community to sign up for their annual AMG Marathon event to be held mid- August, 2014 at the Rock Bay Park. Those interested can register online on their website.

The AMG Marathon will benefit four local charities including San Jose non-profit organizations the Rock Bay Creek Preservation Society and the Stop Breast Cancer Association. Participants will be given a complementary event T-shirt from the event sponsors.

“We are ecstatic that so many people in the community want to donate their time, their sweat, and their money for our cause,” says Amy Wagner, spokesperson for Stop Breast Cancer Association. “I’ll be out there running, too!”

The marathon will start at 9:00AM, with on-the-spot registration beginning at 8:00AM. A number of viewing stations and tents will be put up along the path for supporters to cheer on the participants. At these stations, water and other items will also be distributed. Along with this, doctors and ambulances will also be available at the venue, in case of an emergency.

“This is our third year hosting this marathon. Like every year, we’re expecting people to participate in large numbers and help us raise funds,” said Calvin Jenkins, Director of AMG Services.

Following the marathon, participants are invited to a complimentary brunch, catered by Bokeh Restaurant. A surprise local celebrity will also be there to congratulate marathon runners. Prizes and certificates will be awarded to the first three participants to cross the line. All participants will also be given a goodie bag and a gift voucher from the sponsors.
