(Newswire.net — July 14, 2014) Las Vegas, Nevada — You may soon see Andy Warhol paintings auctioned off live on eBay. While high-ticket items are no stranger to online auction company eBay, streaming live auctions from the most respected auctioneer on the planet, Sotheby’s, is a first.
International joint venture expert and certified auctioneer, Kent Emmons isn’t surprised. “The eBay and Sotheby’s deal may bring greater exposure to Sotheby’s and drive up auction prices. It may also have a spill-over effect into eBay auctions. If an investor of fine jewelry is bidding at a Sotheby’s auction, he may be exposed to comparable items on eBay. This could actually dilute the buyer pool for a Sotheby’s item. The streaming interface will be vital to the joint venture being mutually beneficial.”
While the streaming interface has not been disclosed yet, it would be surprising if both companies don’t benefit with an increase of bidders and prices. Joint venture deals, when done properly, are designed to create new alliances and profits for both parties. “99% of multi-million dollar joint venture deals are done quietly between individuals and mid-sized companies,” Emmons reflected. “I’ve inked deals with Fortune 1000 companies and individual investors at a Starbucks. Joint venture deals are available to anyone who thinks not just out of the box, but into a larger box.”
Emmons intends to share the joint venture success he created with an author who dismissed a traditional publishing deal and elected to self-publish his book. “This client could published with a New York publisher or self-published and announced his book on social media. However, he thought bigger than either of those channels and positioned his book in an infomercial. After expenses, he made very little money on the book, but the book launched his monthly membership program which netted him well in excess of $742,000 per month,” Emmons stated.
Creating high revenue joint venture deals isn’t for everyone. Emmons is quick to point out, “If you aren’t comfortable speaking in big numbers, you won’t be taken seriously. However, having done both small and large joint venture deals, the larger ones are far easier and have less headaches than the small ones.”
Joint venture deal require specialized knowledge. Emmons is being interviewed on a public webinar this Thursday, July 17th at 5 PM PST.
