(Newswire.net — September 10, 2014)  — AMG Services, a leader in video technology, has launched a new Action Camera, the AMG Roam Plus. This wearable camera connects to a phone through near field communication, and features image quality not seen in other devices.

The 270 degrees wide lens and a battery backup of five hours means that one can wear these on long adventure trips, and capture the first-person sports action without worrying about running out of battery life. The unit is waterproof to up to 100meters of water pressure allowing for the capture of underwater shots.

AMG Services has separated the main unit and the lens unit with AMG Roam Plus, illuminating the need. for a chest mount during long trips. The lens unit is so light that the user can mount it at eye-level and forget about it.

“The lens unit weighs just a little over one ounce. So light that even after extended use you are likely to forget where it was mounted,” says David Hill, head of technology at AMG Services. “The head mount has a unique three-point support instead of the two-point support that most manufacturers provide, allowing you to take far more stabilized images.”

With 1/2.3 inch BSI sensor, AMG Roam Plus claims to have the best low light performance for any wearable device. The higher sensitivity means that there is almost no noise even in dimly lit conditions or while shooting indoors. Even the night shots are crisp and the quality never suffers.

NFC capabilities make coupling AMG Roam Plus to the mobile phone simple. Once connected, users can send a live feed of important events to distant family members around the globe.
