The Passion in Portland Author Event will feature 60+ of the hottest romance authors from all over the United States. This will be the largest romance writer and reader event in the Northwest. Romance readers will have the chance to meet their favorite authors and get their books autographed by them.
One of the first authors to commit to appear at Passion in Portland was Rachel Van Dyken. She is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today Bestselling author of regency and contemporary romance novels and lives in the northwest.
“I’m really excited for it and I love it whenever we have signings that are really close to us,” stated Rachel in an interview with romance author AJ Harmon. “So thank you for hosting and having it. It’s going to be a great event. I just love going to Portland.”
Rachel Van Dyken is currently working on her “Eagle Elite” series and has just released the fifth book in the series titled Bang Bang.
“I decided to write this book in order to catch people up if they haven’t read the first four books in the series and also to make it interesting and keep this series fresh,” Van Dyken explained. “I’m really excited about Bang Bang. It’s new adult mafia, which is probably my most favorite thing to write right now. So it’s been exciting.”
Fans of Rachel Van Dyken enjoy meeting her in person because she is so warm, friendly and generous. “I like to make them feel like they got something for attending the conference and that makes them want to come to future book signing events,” Rachel said continuing the interview. “I probably bring more books to a signing than I should, just in case I want to give some away for free.”
The Passion in Portland Author Event will be held at the Crown Plaza Grand Ballroom on September 12, 2015. This all day event will have authors from all romance niches: Contemporary, Historical, New Adult, Steam Punk, Christian and Erotica.
