Breast cancer affects one in eight women during their lives. Breast cancer kills more women in the United States than any cancer except lung cancer. No one knows why some women get breast cancer, but there are a number of risk factors.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation was founded in 1991 by breast cancer survivor, Janelle Hail. NBCF continues to grow every year to help more and more women around the world by educating them about breast cancer and providing free mammograms to women in need.
Chem-Dry has pledged to donate $25,000 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. We are passionate about this cause because we know that millions of people worldwide are impacted by the effects of breast cancer. Chem-Dry has chosen to partner with NBCF because we support their mission of providing programs that give women help for today and hope for tomorrow.
Chem-Dry’s “Cleaning for the Cause” campaign has raised thousands of dollars in the past in the effort to improve education and help find a cure for breast cancer. In order to raise this money, Chem-Dry of Park City will participate in the “Cleaning for the Cause” program by donating proceeds from cleaning jobs and helping spread awareness about the disease.
In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month this October, when you purchase pink cans of Chem-Dry’s World Famous Spot Remover a portion of the proceeds will go towards breast cancer research, making them a great buy. $1 will be donated to NBCF per can.
