The SEMA show taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada is the biggest automotive specialty products trade event in the world. The show draws the industries brightest minds to one place.The SEMA show provides attendees with educational seminars, product demonstrations, and special events.
CargoGlide with a new look to their booth, decided to reveal their re-worked to design CG1500XL unit at this year’s SEMA show. The company revamped the design to improve manufacturing process. A standard feature such as the side thrust bearings that are welded into the old CG1500XL model will now be upgraded. On the remodeled unit the side thrust bearings will be replaceable with e-clips. The side thrust bearings are made to be replaceable for easier maintenance purposes.
The goal was to create a stronger, smoother, maintenance friendly model and make it ready for the SEMA show. The company revealed a few details about CG1500XL.
All the parts are to be laser cut, interlock and tab together. Then the unit is welded together. CargoGlide’s Director of Engineering stated: “all of these improvements along with full compliment bearings will set this 1500 100% slide by CargoGlide as a standard for all industries.”
This piece of equipment will become the necessity for any work vehicles environment. The CG1500XL chassis or frame can be built for ½ bed 24” or under application as well as 48” or larger tray application. The company wants to facilitate different field applications, because industry experts have asked that CargoGlide design frames starting at 28” to 60”.
This unit comes standard with CargoGlide’s patented design side rails with slot adjustable tie down loops rated at 2000lbs each. The adjustable tie down loops gives the owner a peace of mind when securing large heavy loads. CargoGlide also provides integrated clip on tie downs. The clip on tie downs clip to the outside of the side rails of the unit allowing the user to utilize the interior deck space, but still allowing the load to be secured.
These designed features support what the companies customers expect from CargoGlide, integration, innovation, and easy use. This redesigned model and several others will be introduced at the SEMA 2014 show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
