Vaporizer Pens – Are They Good Or Bad For Our Society?

(Newswire.net — October 29, 2014) Cherry HIllNEW JERSEY — Vaporizer pen usage has been increasing exponentially among teenagers, sparking a great deal of concern from parents and school officials who believe that young adults should not have access to these substances and devices.  Teens are using these vape pens to consume marijuana and e juice, and the older generations have become very concerned with this dramatic increase of digitally-assisted smoking.  We spoke with a rep at one of the major online retailers of vaporizers, PVN Vaporizers about this topic and they had some very interesting points on the subject.

“Vaporizers are simply a less harmful way to get active compounds into your system”, a spokesperson from PVN stated.  “We employ 18+ age verification on the web site and try to educate people as much as possible about vaping and what they need to know.  Ultimately it’s up to them, and it all comes down to personal responsibility…so the best thing to do is inform yourself and others about these products and substances so that each individual can develop their own understanding that will serve as a solid foundation for making responsible choices”, the rep added.

Whether you agree with the morality and health benefits of vaporizer pens, one thing remains clear:  this trend has literally exploded throughout our country and the vape business is booming.  There is another side to this issue though, which is often overlooked by angry parents who just want to put a stop to vaping teens.  What they don’t seem to realize is that there are many legitimate medical patients who need access to these devices so they can consume their medical marijuana with their limited bodily functions.  There are several medical marijuana patients that have been diagnosed with MS and cancer that require access to these products, and they are unable to properly dose themselves without them.  It’s easy to have a narrow minded view and blindly label all vaping as bad, but you need to consider all aspects of this issue before making such a snap decision.  The best approach would be to keep an open mind about this subject, and realize that it may not be as black and white as some people would like to make it seem.  And often those same people who are producing this clearly biased propaganda have a vested interest in doing so.

Ultimately, vaping can be both good and bad.  If a teenager is vaping marijuana and then flunking out of class, that is obviously bad.  But if a responsible medical patient is vaping to relieve the negative aspects of their contracted illness, then that is a positive form of vaping that absolutely should be sanctioned by all members of our society.  What right do we have as citizens of this country to deny medical access to patients in serious need of care all because we are overly-sensitive to one side of a two-sided issue?  The fact is that we need to address this problem and take action towards a solution, and that solution is education.  If we continue to spread accurate information about both the positive and negative aspects of vaporizers, we can enlighten the population and arm them with the knowledge to form responsible opinions related to their own personal philosophy on vaping.  It is the individual who must ultimately decide whether they will be impacted by vaping in a positive or negative way, and this is a personal freedom that should not be encroached on by others members of society.
