(Newswire.net — December 19, 2014) Bridgetown, ST. MICHAEL — The old saying goes, “you can take a horse to water, but you can’t make them drink.”  Watching Barbados tourism authority Ian R. Clayton’s new GoPro video makes a convincing and entertaining argument that getting a horse just to go in the water for a dip isn’t so easy either.

“I’m having a lot of fun with my GoPro Hero 3 and I thought a series of Barbados based videos could be really exciting,”  commented Clayton.  “This first one of a trainer trying to get his horse to walk in the water using everything from cajoling to horse whispers is bound to make most people smile.”

According to Clayton, travel channels, like BarbadosTravel on Youtube, are becoming hot properties in tourism, and the lively and spontanious GoPro videos are sure to make it even more popular.  Videos and especially GoPro action videos are becoming vitally important for tourism destination and the sky is the limit for the possibilities of the camera’s use in Barbados and other Island adventure destinations.

This video documents a horse handler trying to convince and coerce a Barbados race horse into the water on Carlisle Beach.  Horse trainers often take their racehorses to the beach for a run and a swim in the early morning and on this occasion a humorous series of begs, prods, pulls, pushes and horse whispers follows as one handler tries to entice a young filly into the sea. He finally meets his goal in a way that’s quite unexpected.  It is just one of the many things visitors to the Island see on their Barbados holidays.
