The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Charles Mathues, of Brookhaven, Pa., was standing in front of a work truck looking at paperwork when a car crashed into to rear end of the truck. The impact pushed the truck into Mathues, who suffered serious injuries including an ACL tear in the right leg and numerous contusions. Meta Industries has been cited by OSHA for failing to place warning signs within two feet of the roadway. Mathues is seeking compensatory damages against the contractor.
