(Newswire.net — January 20, 2015) — Townsend Bell brings his years of experience in racing to Level 5 Motorsports, driving the No. 555 Ferrari 458 Italia GT3. Bell, who also is a commentator for NBC Sports’ coverage of Indy Car racing, has raced both internationally and in the United States.
Bell rejoins a former teammate, Bill Sweedler, and is excited to embrace the Level 5 Motorsports family.
“We’ve certainly enjoyed watching Level 5 from afar for the past two seasons and all the amazing stuff they’ve done in prototypes,” said Bell. “I’m really excited to continue with Bill (Sweedler) as he’s such a great and talented guy. To know that we’re going to continue our relationship with Ferrari is incredible and to do it with Level 5, I don’t think it could get any better.”
Bell has valuable racing experience in both single-seater Formula One and Indy Car, including competition in the Indianapolis 500. The new addition to Level 5 Motorsports won 2001’s IndyLights, and in 2009 Bell made a top five finish in the Indianapolis 500.
Level 5 Motorsports is proud to use Bell’s talent on the track. Bell, along with Sweedler, is one of two veteran drivers on a roster filled with racing talent. Both Sweedler and Bell have experience racing Ferrari.
