(Newswire.net — January 28, 2015) Singapore, Singapore — Registration is now open for Singapore American School’s Summer Semester, with two sessions available. Summer Semester offers unique courses and opportunities that go beyond those in the regular school year at SAS and is a great alternative to traditional summer camp options. With courses available for all levels of education – early childhood through high school – the program is an excellent summer education program bringing together world-class education partners and offering international travel opportunities.
The goal of the Summer Semester is to extend, diversify, and accelerate learning from the regular school year, presenting learning opportunities in four distinct categories: intellectual curiosity, creative expression, sports & adventures, and service. Students have the opportunity to select innovative, applied learning courses taught by SAS teachers and other world leading educators from all categories based on their areas of interest. Courses will be available at the SAS campus in Singapore for all four levels of education: early childhood, elementary, middle school, and high school. Session 1 will run from June 8- 19 and Session 2 from July 22- July 3, 2015, and students may enroll for one or both sessions.
Singapore American School has partnered with several world-class partners to offer an exceptional summer education program, including Columbia University Business School, Stanford University Pre-Collegiate Studies in association with V-Campus, DigiPen Institute of Technology, and the Real Madrid Foundation. In addition to the on-campus programs in Singapore, students enrolled in the middle school and high school programs will also have the opportunity to travel abroad. Travel opportunities include a service and cultural trip to Mongolia for high school students, a Chinese language immersion trip to China for both high school and middle school students, and a cultural and service trip to Thailand for middle school students. SAS has also endorsed four additional travel opportunities to locations such as Italy and Costa Rica for those interested in exploring their summer education program on a more international level.
