(Newswire.net — May 11, 2015) Singapore , Singapore — Singapore American School will hold its second annual Maker Days fair on May 21 and 22 on the Singapore American School campus.

The event is open to the community to see what Singapore American School students, teachers, and community members have been busily creating throughout the year.

Maker events like those sponsored by MakerFaire.com have become a worldwide phenomenon in recent years. These eclectic events are part science fair, part county fair, and part something entirely new…an all-ages gathering of tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, and artists.

The fair will be open Thursday, May 21 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, May 22 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Gym 3.

Projects from all divisions will be on display and some student-led project demonstrations will take place.

Maker Days organizer and SAS High School Chemistry Teacher Simon Bright said, “It has been exciting to see the maker culture grow in Singapore and here at SAS. Our students, teachers, and parents have really embraced the creativity, design thinking process, and love for tinkering that develops through these types of opportunities.”
