(Newswire.net — June 16, 2015) West Palm Beach, FL — The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Palm Beach County Man & Woman of the Year nominees collectively raised a total of $772,265, shattering previous records set in Palm Beach County. Winners were announced on Friday, April 24th at the Wyndham Grand Jupiter at Harbourside Place.
Each year, in communities across the country, passionate candidates engage in an exciting competition to earn The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) “Man & Woman of the Year” titles by raising funds for LLS blood cancer research while increasing awareness of the LLS. The competition runs for 1o weeks and the titles are awarded to the man and woman in each participating community who raises the most.
Olimpia Zuccarelli, owner of Zuccarelli’s Italian Restaurant & Bar and author of her recently-released cookbook A Chair at My Table, was proud to be one of nominees for Woman of the Year in the Palm Beach Area. Finishing third she is enormously appreciative to all who generously donated to her campaign and this incredible cause.
