(Newswire.net — June 18, 2015) — New York – Many expect it is yet another business stunt for billionaire Donald Trump, however the real estate mogul officially stated he is entering a bid for the oval office, CNN reported. While followers say a man of Trump’s magnitude wouldn’t even consider a presidential bid if he didn’t feel he could win, opinion polls, however, indicate he is at the bottom of the candidate popularity list.

Members of the media now wait to see if Trump really will disclose his estimated $9 billion in assets. The disclosure is scheduled for Tuesday, after the political rally at New York’s Trump Tower that will begin at 11 am local time. Reportedly, Trump has prepared a two-page document that will show a valuation of Trump’s property, and show an outline of his debts as well as cash on hand.

Reportedly, Trump’s wealth is more than twice the $4.1 billion estimate of Trump’s net worth by Forbes magazine. It is not the first time Trump has publicly said he’ll run for president, as speculations were made even in 2012. If he really enters the race though, Trump would be the wealthiest Republican candidate.

Under a 1978 federal law, presidential candidates have to disclose personal income and financial interests, as well as those of their spouses and dependent children. The document is needed to be disclosed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) within 30 days of announcing their candidacy, RT reported. Candidates however, can request up to two extensions of 45 days each.

While visiting Iowa, Donald Trump told the Des Moines Register that he believes he would be the “most successful person ever to run for president.” In the interview, he heavily criticized his opponents.

“I watched Jeb Bush yesterday,” Trump said, referencing the former Florida governor’s Monday campaign announcement. “He can’t even put on a tie and jacket. He’s running for president. Maybe he knows something I don’t know. Maybe I should take it off because I want to be one of everybody. You know what? You run for president, maybe put on a tie. I thought it was ridiculous.”

Confusing success with wealth, Trump said Romney isn’t as successful as he is. “I have a Gucci store that’s worth more money than Romney,” he said.

Trump dismissed allegations that he is entering the presidential bid because he is bored with his life. “Everybody feels I’m doing this just to have fun or because it’s good for the brand,” he told the Washington Post earlier.

“Well, it’s not fun. I’m not doing this for enjoyment. I’m doing this because the country is in serious trouble,” he said.

Trump entered the race under campaign slogan “Make America Great Again.”
