(Newswire.net — September 22, 2015) –Microsoft (MSFT) once again proved that it is the champion of defective software. Pressured by OEM vendors, Microsoft rushed the launch of Windows 10 from October to July. The net result is an experiment in creating the world largest crowdsourced bug testing group. From erratic mouse movement, to a twice daily freezing screen (requiring a hard reboot), the bugs in Windows 10 are so bad that the makers of Atari ET, can now rest, knowing that Windows 10 will take the crown as the WORSE software launch ever.
How Bad is Windows 10
On a scale to 1-10 with 1 being great and 10 being the worse, Microsoft finally got 1 thing right in naming it Windows 10. Unfortunaltely once again Microsoft never disloses the problems to the public beforehand, thus recruiting the uninformed masses in becomming the worlds largest crowdsourded bug testing software project.
Don’t take my word for it, from the web we have gleaned other wonderful undiscolsed goodies from this albatross including:
1. Windows 10 spies on you, Microsoft added spying features to Windows 7/8 as well;
2. Windows 10 is a beta quality release at best, highly unstable with a propensity of crashing (freezing requiring a hard reboot);
3. Microsoft hides the information about Windows 10 updates, so you dont know of an update or what its purpsoe is, which can have unintended consequences and leave your computer is a highly unstable enviroment (freezing, mouse not working, etc…);
4. Users are reporting that their sound card stopped working after upgrading to Windows 10;
5. Windows 10 updates/upgrade can send your PC into an infinite loop causing you to have to do a hard reboot (great when you are working on an article about how horrible Windows 10 is);
6. Forced upgrades you cannot opt out of, which have already crashed thousands if not millions of computer systems;
7. It uses your bandwidth to distribute updates to other users nearby you. Called Wi-Fi Sense, mark my words that this is a security diaster just waiting to happen.
History Repeats Itself
When Windows 7 was issued, pandemonium struck with many computer owners. The fact that there is no way to predict all the problems until it is released to the public and they report them is inevitable. Today, many people prefer to use Windows 7 because all the bugs have been worked out. It’s true; Windows 10 is rather new so it’s going to take some time. But what most people want to know is why the powers that be can’t just address the issue.
Where The Problem Lies
Most users are noticing a problem when they try to watch a movie or do any activity that requires a great deal of memory usage. If you’re in the middle of a document online or doing some big project, it can be quite a problem. While using programs like Microsoft’s Word does have a backup build in, it isn’t full proof. People are losing things they are working on and having to start over again. It’s nothing that any company can mess around with. These potential problems are not only aggravating, but they have the potential to cost money. Every minute that an employee is messing with their computer, and they have to do a hot boot to get it to restart, it is costing the company money in downtime.
The answer to the Windows 10 issues maybe to run it in compatibility mode for Windows 7. However, some are reporting that the system won’t’ allow them to do that either. One of the major similarities within those having an issue is an incompatible driver. The new suite has functions that are incompatible for some drivers and it causes them to overload. When the driver is overloaded the computer freezes or crashes and the only option is to reboot.
It is also worth mentioning that Windows 10 is draining the battery power by about 10 percent more than that of Windows 7 or 8.1. While Microsoft hasn’t issued any repairs for this either, it can be beneficial to turn on battery saving options and dim the screen a bit to preserve power.
How To Fix A Windows 10 Issue
The best remedy is not to install it, if you were one of the unfortunate who did then the first thing that most people try to do is go in and do a system restore. This is a great option for those who want to take the computer back to a previous date. It seems to work well when there’s a virus that has attacked or there is some sort of bug in the system. However, when dealing with a driver issue, a system restore will do nothing to fix it. It will only be a waste of time and effort.
Some are having luck by reinstalling the Windows 10 suite on their computer. By unplugging all other hard drives that were contained on a former Windows installation, it is helping many get through this issue. Many are angry with the fact that Microsoft seems to be pushing this under the rug. Even Forbes magazine did a big article about the issues and the famous company failed to respond to their requests for help.
On a final note, we as a society need to wake up and send a message to corporate America, that the practice of arrogance filling in the gap of understanding will not be tolerated. You listenting Monsanto at least with Microsoft we can reboot, with our enviroment and health, that is a option we have.
