Is The End of the World Upon Us?

If Evangelicals and fortunetellers are to be believed, the answer is yes.

The internet is currently in the grips of apocalypse fear, with the blood moon falling on the first night of the Jewish holiday of Sukkot on September 28.

Some believe that this rare astrological event heralds the “end of days.”

American evangelical pastor John Hagee says that blood moons are historically linked with a time period “that begins with a tragedy and ends with a triumph” for the Jewish people.

In an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network, Hagee claimed that in each era, “there’s a sense in the world that things are changing and God is trying to communicate with us in a supernatural way.”

Christians believe the celestial event could mark the start of disaster, based on a passage from the Book of Joel, which reads: “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the Lord comes.”

“People have long been equally fascinated by doomsday,” explains Jim Graham — who along with his team are hosting the highly anticipated webinar, Kickstarter Millionaire, which trains people on product launching by inviting members into the ‘war room’ of an 8-figure product launch.

“It seems like every year there is a prediction that the world is set to end,” Graham says. “In fact, several crowdfunding sites have launched doomsday games which have performed well. Is the world really going to end next week? Who knows? It is something none of us can predict, but people sure get a kick out of instilling fear in all of us.”

If the world doesn’t come to an end as Hagee’s predicts, the blood moon will be a beautiful sight to be seen.
